A huge well done to Sofia, who competed at the Invicta Open in mid March 2025. Sofia managed to finish a very credible 21st out of 37 female epee fencers, many of whom were seniors with vast amount of experience. Sofia seeded well after the poules and made it to the 2nd round of Direct Elimination, losing narrowly by 15 points to 13 points to just miss out on the quarter finals.

Prior to the start of the Invicta competition, they had a rolling electronic board, showing each athletes current national rankings. Sofia was up there as being placed 204th nationally for this current year. This is a marvellous achievement for both Sofia and Gravesham Fencing Club and we hope to see you rise further up those rankings with each competition that you do. Well done Sofia.
